Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving Licence. Name on the document must match the name in the petition exactly.
This is particularly important in the Tricity context. The address proof submitted must clearly reflect whether the residence is within Chandigarh UT, Mohali district, or Panchkula district, because this is what determines which of the three courts has jurisdiction. A recent utility bill, bank statement, or rental agreement at the current address is accepted even where Aadhaar has not been updated.
